This is simply brilliant! The aphoristic, dense style makes it even more so.

The main essay was okay but I can't imagine going through the rest of the stuff, so many puns and wordplay it's just not for me. Agh I'll just glance through and see if there's anything worth reading.

Thus the cry for freedom is directed either against particular forms or demands of culture or else against culture itself. It does not seem as if man could be brought by any sort of influence to change his nature into that of the ants; he will always, one imagines, defend his claim to individual freedom against the will of the multitude.

"Our so called civilization itself is to blame for a great part of our misery, and we should be much happier if we were to give it up and go back to primitive conditions".

Return to monke? Wtf I love Freud now.

Why is Freud droning on about obvious stuff lol. I mean I do know that it might not have been that obvious in his time but still!!

Very readable so far, and quite captivating I must say. The author doesn't simply jump into the nitty gritties of the philosophy right away, instead takes a lot of time to give an idea of the overall philosophical project Delueze is up to, and the historical background behind it. A very good intro book so far.
