I love that Ms McCrumb writes about relatable female characters.

I forgot how compelling Scarlett O' Hara is, as unlikable and selfish as she is, there's also a naivity
and earthiness about her that makes a reader want to cheer her on.

It is difficult to like these characters,however to enjoy a novel, you don't have to. Part of the reason ,I feel this way might be coloured by my personal experience and my age. Her characters come across as spoiled and selfish. I was a Healthcare worker I m retired now, but it should be stated that if I have any sympathy for her characters it lies with their fictional parents.
