Just realized this is due at the library tomorrow and I can't renew it. The decision has been made for me. DNF.

I can't. I just can't. This mathematical genius manages to impress Drix even more by multiplying 15 by 5. I'm not sure why he's interested in Elle, who bears the terrible burden of being beautiful, when he could go after Kellan, a 15 year old who can do third grade math.

I'm considering bowing out already. The pretty cover tricked me into forgetting that this book is about a (eye roll) bad boy and a good girl. I'm not a fan of the trope.

I'm losing patience with this book.

Just finished chapter 5. I'm enjoying it for now but the show follows pretty closely to the book so far and I'm doing a show rewatch at the same time, so I'm familiar with the characters and events.

This is kind of boring, tbh. I like Audrey but the Alice parts are not interesting.

I'm really trying here but the baseball inaccuracies are very glaring and grating. Surely the author knows someone, ANYONE AT ALL, who could have helped her with that? And if she did it on purpose because what is reality? that's even worse.

So, so bad. I hope it gets better. I was really looking forward to this.

I was hesitant because of the whole series with that awful girl named Belly, but I am into this one.

Oh, that's an awkward paragraph. This book was published before 2015 but I suddenly see the wisdom in using fictional places instead of real ones.

I've just realized this is the second book in a series and I haven't read the first. This is a problem, as I'm a stickler for reading books in order, whether you "have to" or not. The first will not be available from the library for an estimated 3 months. What a dilemma. I do not know what to do.

Fuck no. DNF in a rage. This is not Jonny and I am done.

Not even through chapter one yet and I'm contemplating a DNF. Jon -- little Jonny who I loved in the first book -- is insufferable. In the first chapter!

There's something off about this book. It's not holding my interest the way I expected it would and it's not at all creepy. Hoping it gets better.

I'm basically skimming at this point.

Is anything interesting going to happen in this book or will the next 150 pages be as dull as the first 175?
