Recently I’ve been feeling convicted about not taking more time to prioritize silence and solitude in my life and I found this book for $2 at the antique store where I stock up on books while Frances threw up and had to go to the vet and get fluids in her system.

“As one of the humans has said, active habits are strengthened by repetition but passive ones are weakened. The more often he feels without acting, the less he will be able ever to act, and, in the long run, the less he will be able to feel…”

The narrator is a sweet, naive girl and it makes you sympathize with those who have lost someone and how they are willing to do anything to prevent more loss.

The Mother is a yellow flag for me with how she is using control as a way to cope with grief.

AI friends is a weird concept.

Family Matters usually end in murder…
but everyone has a motive here so I’m suspecting either a 2-3 person job, not a solo act 🔪🔪🔪

my goodness I have no clue if I’m missing the obvious or if the culprit is hiding in plain sight!

I must get to the bottom of it or another murder will be committed!!!

im getting intrigued

This is for a book club I joined.

everything points to Jesus (:

Oh this is a joy to read 🥹

Would I survive prison? 🤔

“Waiting, therefore, is an act of faith in that it is oriented toward the future. …In this way, waiting, like time itself, centers on Christ — the fulcrum of time.”

“our task is not to somehow inject God into our work but to join God in the work he is already doing in and through our vocational lives.”

even the smallest tasks — such as checking our email — is a way to glorify the Lord!
