brushing our teeth and taking care of our bodies is worshiping the Lord that created it 🪥

The ritual of waking up and immediately going on your phone is a phenomenon that has cursed many of us and we just need to put it away and start the day with our Lord.

Our minds can easily be distracted by the enemy but we must continue to look to Jesus and ask Him for help.

These were some of my favorite books growing up and they’re just so fun and easy to read! Had to do some sleuthing at 1 am and couldn’t resist! These kids really fall for anything.

I think my brain is so scattered yet grateful for the laughs. but yes 30 overdue library books is CRIMINAL!!

I called it. Not super surprising and I feel like Lucy is going for shock factor but really doesn’t hit for the plot. It’s also a little spicy for my liking and it seems like filler that I don’t need. Still don’t know who died and I’m ready to be done with this book.

Y’all know I love a whodunit but so far, I just want to get to the ending. The journey with this book is not super fun and I’m struggling to not just skip to the end…

What benefit is trying to accomplish all the worldly things do for our eternity? To have Christ is having everything already.

I think everyone needs to read this chapter on sexual immorality. We have become so desensitized that sin has become normal, tolerated in our world and righteousness seems strange — and that is heartbreaking to our Father.

We as believers can say it’s normal, but our role being members of Christ’s body is to fight the darkness by His power. Let’s pursue holiness, rebuke in love, and seek Him over all.

This last chapter helped me understand what it truly means to find my identity in Christ. What union with Christ looks like and how it reminds me of the righteousness in my life through Jesus alone.

“But the “you” he’s talking about is the “you” that you are by grace, not by nature.”

It argues against the “but I was born this way” mindset of lifestyle sins to the power of being reborn in Christ.

Calling out the “Let Go and Let God” movement. We play a role in our sanctification and we need to make an effort to be holy and partner with the Spirit.

“For two to walk together voluntarily, they must be in some sense be one.”

We must be one with God and not let unholiness take us off the road. Convicting as always and I love it.
