What benefit is trying to accomplish all the worldly things do for our eternity? To have Christ is having everything already.

“For two to walk together voluntarily, they must be in some sense be one.”

We must be one with God and not let unholiness take us off the road. Convicting as always and I love it.

Tozer is calling out those who just tell people they don’t have a relationship with to “accept Jesus” and if they respond with “sure” or “I guess” they believe they are saved…

but there is no repentance or spiritual regeneration.

I already feel so much conviction reading the first chapter. The way it talks about substitutes for discipleship and how the church overlooks meaning of scripture and salvation was eye-opening for my own life.
