I've had this on my TBR pile for about a year now, but it's only now that I am able to start on it. Interesting start, and at first I was a bit put off by the way it was written. Lost in translation issues perhaps? Wish I could read the original Japanese text.

There's a paragraph here that describes the difference between Western RPG and Japanese RPG in the 1990s, which was one the reasons why I never played the latter even though friends liked it. I never got to finish VII though. :P
