This is very good. Vibes of both invigorating fantasy and immaculate Tudor (though I admit I'm not a huge Tudor fangirl so I might be missing the devils in the details) and oodles of lady-driven politics in both. My cup of tea!

Love the way these guys basically have a 700 page book arguing that making sweeping declarative statements about things is reductionist and obscures the intricate complexity of human choices, but they still make the occasional sweeping declarative statement. (Because we cannot just look, we are always looking to find meaning.)
