I mentioned before how this is one of many reads I have for FotR. Yet, I must relay that I was strangely moved to tears in my workplace break-room. It was the reading of a poem sung by Bilbo in the chapter, "The Ring Goes South." Here are the lines that drew a second look and a blink:
I sit by the fire and think
of how the world will be
when winter comes without a spring
that I shall ever see.
