I enjoyed this book; the story was beautifully crafted, and the details were descriptive in an almost poetic way. It took me a while to get into the story because I was initially quite irritated by the central character, but it was worth the effort. I liked how the author handled the scientific and nonscientific characters respectfully. The story was both beautiful and sad, but it was not without hope.
