Surprisingly delighted by this book. Mary improves upon closer acquaintance.

I’m at the hate read part of this book. I’m too far to DNF it, I think. It hasn’t gotten a bunch for me. I even looked at reviews to see if I was the only one who felt this way. I’m not. Will not finish the series. Really want to not finish this book. Prove me wrong.

Honestly not enjoying it. Too much overwrought fantasy exposition crossed with regular earth people with zero motivation to go to a fantasy realm. Please tell me this gets better.

Unpopular opinion: This book could easily have been a quarter of its length. I’m 31% in. I’m slightly annoyed by the repetitive content and meaningless forays into history. But I’m also enjoying it. I assume it’s only going to get weirder. Will I read any more of Murakami’s books? Doubtful.

Wild, hilarious, as usual.

This one would be a do not finish but I’m halfway through. Not Christie’s usual cup of tea and there’s a bunch of meandering internal dialogue and murky conversations. It’s a spy novel I guess but it’s irritating me.

Loving it so far. About to get dark, I think.

Really hope to finish this before the new year.

Introducing unnecessary new characters more than halfway through the book. This book should be 400 pages, not 800.

Both riveting and slogging. I could do with following half as many characters.

Read this as a kid and loved it. Now it’s grating because of all the clunky descriptions and wordiness. I’m struggling to finish the first book and will not continue.
