genuinely so confused as to why this is one of the most talked about fantasy books of all time. i was hoping this one would work for me and it reeeeeeally didn't; the pacing was so weird, rin is so aggravating, 90% of the characters have no depth at all. kitay is probably the only reason i read this far into it in the first place.

chapter 9 had me considering dnf'ing this

going back to one of my all times favourites to hopefully get me out of this 2 year long reading slump🫠

here are some differences from the show that i've clocked so far:

emily, spencer, and ezra are all blonde

emily has 3 siblings: carolyn, jake, and beth

mike's name is michelangelo? LMFAO

hanna's hair is described as "red-brown"
