So, this book is seriously scorching. And troubled. But not angsty. I'm having so much fun.

Off to a good start.

I'm liking this one

I am loving this book. Well, I was, but now Ox is about to do something really stupid and I'm not sure I can bear to read any more. Ox, talk to Joe about that phone call, right now! EEk. I'm going to have to finish this whilst hiding behind the sofa I reckon.

I want to suggest you just buy a bag of mixed salad leaves to rectify your problem, but then I would never have read about you searching the internet with the term "how to make a very easy salad in order to impress a man you want to fuck" and my life would be the poorer for it, so maybe your way is better after all. Plus you are about to talk to Amy about it, and I like her.

This reads like it's been translated from German, which means it hasn't been translate that well I guess. For example
"I would have spoken into your voice mail if you hadn't answered". It makes getting lost in the book hard.

And Max has just realised Sean means everything to him so therefore he has to leave him. Finding the amount of discussion around this a bit OTT at the mo.

An agonising amount of internal agonising from Max here. In fact, the general amount of internal dialoging from both him and Sean is feeling a bit drawn out for me at the moment. Still, when that stops and they get around to actually doing stuff together that is still hot. Plus I am looking forward to more Tad and Scott as promised.

I am sighing with contentment at the languauge so far. I'm having to look up words ffs, genuine proper words that I've never heard of (not my usual American cultural reference looking up). Gamahuching anyone? (btw the definition is nsf). Which contrasts so deliciously with "the ... wossnames ... uppybits of the crenallations".

So, I'm reveling in the language & swooning at Caspian Hart alongside Arden.

This book starts with a glossary so you can understand all Anna's interests. A glossary. Got me hooked.

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together. I'm so glad I picked up on this book from a goodreads review, I'm having so much fun reading this. At this point I'm so invested in the characters I'm pretty desperate for them to get their act together and sort things out. I'm guessing they probably will, but I have no idea how, which is one of the things I love about this book.

This is a fluffy, slightly silly, light read of a book. Which is not in itself a problem. But I'm just not feeling it, in fact it's embarassing me (this is not new, I get embarassed watching big bang theory ffs), so I'm putting it down, don't expect to pick it up again.

Putting this one on hold for a while because I don't feel up to dealing with Matty's trauma, not cos I don't like the writing.

Oh lordy, this one is fun.

Minor character has some happy plans for thanksgiving and OMG Avery's internal thought process is breaking my heart. Plus he clearly does not just say everything he's thinking.

This book is making me cry.

Not corny as I'd feared. Quite funny, although me being me I'm finding some of the situations a bit squirmtastic.

I'm not sure I can cope with this one right now. Eek.

It was being so sweet which just makes it all the more painful now it's got brutal.

I am laughing with embarrassment and outrage and respect for what Emyr is doing on stage.

Still finding that I'm liking all the ingredients (including strong female characters and a good dose of geek) but not getting the heat from the mix.

OK, I definitely like the story, so I am forgiving the unmanchesteryness, especially as there was just a comment about soggy Manchester summers, so one thing is right!

First impressions, plot wise, it has potential, but setting wise, people in Manchester don't talk like that! (I lived there for 4 years, which is partly what drew me to this book, but so far I'm not getting a Manchester vibe at all, i.e. they would just say United were playing and drop the Manchester bit, but hey, I know why they've done this, and the style is consistent with this kind of books)
