This may be nit picky but the author using ‘first come first serve’ for the boarding line for the mc’s flight is unrealistic. I don’t know of any real airline that does that.

All the ‘fucks’ Alec says throughout this book is over the top. I’m surprised an editor okayed this for YA. Makes me think Lynn Painter doesn’t know how to write a male perspective without all the fucks. Lol.

I looked up how many times ‘fuck’ is in this book. 292. Most of those are from Alec. Kind of ridiculous. And I’m not an uptight person usually when it comes to cussing.

There is some cringe in this book and way too many fucks for a YA book but I’m still loving this 😍

The dad’s excuse for abandoning his own family is pretty weak.

This book is much better compared to love & luck.

This is not very different from Caraval and reads like it’s YA. Which I don’t mind but it’s not an adult book imo.
