The blurb and several reviews say this can stand alone, but I'm hopelessly lost. I feel like I'm missing a ton of world building. There have already been a lot of mentions of things that happened in previous books, but only fleeting mentions without enough context to figure out what happened and why.

Umm, what? The first book clearly said that both brothers were gay, now Ryan is straight? And what is the point of a prologue when chapter one takes up immediately where it left off?

DNF @ 56%, Just can't take it anymore, it's too hard. I was going to message the author but chickened out. If anyone is close with them, could you let them know how hard long pages of italics are for dyslexics. I was loving it, but it's just too hard for me to read, and I couldn't handle it if they didn't respond well.

DNF @ 5% not my cup of tea. All the Subs eventually become Doms?? I'm not sure how you can have a HEA when there's an expiration based on that premise.

This started out promising, but is suffering from a need for a good developmental editor or first rate beta. Inconsistencies and continuity errors are killing it for me, and minor proofreading issues that don't bother me. I needed a really good, easy read, and this is making my brain hurt. Maybe I'll try again later, cause it does have some potential for hot hate sex, but DNF'ing for now.

DNF I've been clean and sober almost 10 yrs and that is not how you make amends. You do so only if it does not harm you or others. Leo having blackout panic attacks are pretty harmful. And everyone bending over backwards to keep Caleb happy while rolling over everything Leo says... Nope, didn't work for me.

DNF Received this book on instafreebie in exchange for signing up for the authors newsletter. Within a week I received three emails stating it was an ARC and to please leave my review-which feels shady to me. I prefer to know ahead of time if it's an ARC and see the blurb so I know if I would be interested. Neither of which I had. I'm not a fan of YA/NA, so wouldn't have agreed to an ARC.
