This book was so perfect for what it was. It's the vibiest, moodiest book I've read in ages and maybe ever. The gothic feel was so powerful and good. I could just soak it all up. Janet was such a memorable character, and the writing was stunning. This isn't a book I would usually pick up, so I am so glad my favorite book podcast talked about it.

I just started listening, and there are already many connections to The Unseen World by Liz Moore. We shall see if it deviates, and I am hoping it does.
