It took me a while to get into it - I found the switch between fact and fiction a bit difficult to get on with at first but in the end I really enjoyed it. I felt it ended a bit abruptly as I would have liked to know what happened next.

It took me a while to get into this book but after the first 50 pages I was hooked. I loved how the author created the characters and moved effortlessly between eras. My only criticism is that it ended too soon; I would liked to have learned what happened to the characters next. Overall a very enjoyable read with both sad and sweet moments.

Easy to read - not a page turner but it has some interesting characters.
