I'm feeling frustrated - I was definitely engaged around the midpoint when the emotional core of the story (arguably) between Corin and her sister Elly that culminated to a plot decision I was REALLY surprised and delighted that Pham committed to. But now that has ebbed away in a sea of ever rotating timelines and set pieced (albeit pretty) imagery between the three main characters jockeying for position.

*twirls hair in hand* "Oh nooooo, don't have a night terror."

It's been a shaky start with less building of the character dynamics and the world than I would like but there is some compelling secrets to the characters I still feel inclined to untangle ✨️

Mwah. ~

I have finished my initial listen-through, but likely I will listen once more or look for a copy to read through with my own eyeballs before shelving this as read ✨️✌️

On my second read through of Axiom's End, the pacing is up and down for me - the simple situation of Cora and Ampersand sitting down and conversing with another to compare and contrast their lives are among the most interesting parts of the novel.

Picking this up for a re-read now that the sequels have come out~

Everything that is in this book on its own should not work for me, and yet...

Wow, so all it takes is a cuck chair and a tuna melt to get me on board lmao.

Oh thank god they have variants of the cover lmao. 🤭🤭🤭

Back on my nonsense here - its endlessly hilarious that we have a scene of two dryadologists (people in the lore of this world who very seriously study, track, correlate and more among the fair folk who very much exist in cannon) immediately dunk on the concept of ghosts existing.

Fantastic 🤭
