This story had lots of description of setting, the hills, the sea, the blood. i like this aspect of reading - imagination

From the dry to the wet, the mixing of light, and all the sound of mining sites that have been abandoned.. worth reading

One of my sorbets

This was an ex library book found at a local little library. Now read and placed in a different little library. The story was okay if a little disjointed.

Glitz, gold, cotton and trash. Nicely written.

This book was worth the time i spent reading it.

i especially like the trip around different countries in Europe. Who said that scenery is lesser than the plot?

I was comparing my first world problems to the people in this book - things are all relative. The description of the Journey was special.

Then I suggest, we need urgently to take stock of where we are now and why we arrived there, and above all, where we are heading. Then we need to reset our compass and take a different path, even if it is not the easiest way p314

I will keep on the path of being exposed to such facts.

All the threads come together at the end. Not normally my style of book but it was part of my book group

There are parts which I skimmed but this was due it to be too gory for me at the time. Thanks for sharing your memories Peter

Recommended by my boss who is also reading it. An emotional read as the main characters find their true selves after a tough journey.
