I still hate the FMC…if the author calls her dumb that many times imagine what the readers think

I hate the FMC Gwen…I wish authors would not make the main characters so whiny and pathetic

I’m struggling to get through this one. The beginning is slow and I’m skimming quite a bit to get past pointless conversations. Especially any place Seth or Geraldine are talking. I am annoyed by Seth the most though. I may have to put it down for a bit and come back

Close to DNF because of the Fmc. She is so annoying. I will give it a little longer before I ditch this series for awhile

The author's writing style drives me crazy. Its very staccato and feels like sentences are missing ( jumps around). Also her descriptions of people are where for instance: persimmon hair, toasted almond skin, mocha colored hair

I was getting a little bored with this one so putting it down and I will come back later

So far this is pretty boring. I’m going to try to keep going since it has so many high reviews 🤷🏽‍♀️

As the saying goes... less is more. The concept and storyline for this series was interesting but the execution left a lot to be desired. There was a lot of unneeded filler that made this boring which could have been helped by just having one or at most two books. Also. To be the “black beast” the heroine seems pretty soft and helpless.

I get this is YA...maybe I’m too old for this... but I found it way too unrealistic. These people are in high school still!

So far I haven’t enjoy this as much as Nevada’s trilogy. I find the MC somewhat boring and I don’t get the romance

(This May be a skimmer) I’m trying to understand why she feels the need to be a courtesan...it doesn’t make sense when she doesn’t need the money. 🤔🤷🏽‍♀️
