In the context of someone talking about Christian belief and having a longing for more: “No, the hunger in your stomach does not prove that you will get a meal. But it does prove that your body was meant for food.”

This was haunting and mysterious. This magic system is so unique. It was so refreshing reading a book that had elements that were so different than what I have read before!

Almost a five star book for me. I literally read this book in two days. BUT some huge aspects were anticlimactic or not explained.
