goddamn gately's life is depressing

it's nice to read a book that commands your full attention, but man i can only do like 40 pages at a time lol

the faustian bargain is taking a bit to develop but i loved how long its simmered in the background

kind of a slog but i'm still enjoying it

tom and anabel are by far the most compelling characters
