So like, I’m extremely bored….maybe I’m just not an SJM girlie. But I’m so happy for those who are! I will keep trying but I may have to DNF this series.

Working back through this bad boy. Love rereading this series.

Slowly making my way through. Each chapter is so full of information I want to saver it.

It’s fine. Diem needs to stop pushing away Luther, for the love of all that is holy!

I’m loving the story. Every minute. And at the same time, because of how it is written I can’t lose myself with the starts and stops, so it’s taking me a while to get through. I don’t think I’m upset about it though.

Atmosphere is eerie, Effy’s situation is precarious between her mother abandoning her, her professor abusing her and her misunderstanding of the assignment she’s been given. While not a lot has happened, I’m intrigued enough to keep going. (3.25)

Unfortunately I’m struggling. I would put it down but it’s a book club book and I would like to be able to talk about it. Sweet and love the representation though.

I’m enjoying Jamie’s confidence and kindness to Edgar. Poor Edgar 😔 it’s interesting that no ghost has hurt him but he is so terrified. Helen brought some much needed humor to the story. So far a 2.5 💫 (for me that’s “fine”).

She turned faster than I expected her to, so now I’m trying to figure out where it goes. She seems to be getting more wild as time goes on.

Still thoroughly enjoying this. I like the pace and sincerely was worried about the mission.

I keep seeing the parents ignore her. I really hope I pay more attention to my kids and have taught them to speak up.

Still loving this. First book I’ve read with this representation and with having two children it’s an important read for me.

I am really enjoying this. The writing is so good. First dystopian in a very long time.

Much of these things I’ve read before (so far) in other ways, but the idea of empathy is so important. I’m happy to be reading on this for the first time.

As a parent this book is both enlightening and extremely difficult to listen to. Also, funny.

This book is everything I want on paper. Hopefully after I finish off a few other books I can really hone in and enjoy. Book club book for September ☺️

Really needed to read something like this. I’ve learned a lot and have been able to have lots of conversations with friends.

I am enjoying this. It feels slow moving and I don’t enjoy booms that have a quest for a magical object, but I like the 2 plots and how they came together. Reading this for a “traveling book” with friends.

Can’t believe I’m only 51% through 😩😂

Very slow moving. A lot of this is predictable so it’s not booking me. Just going to keep listening as I’m doing things around the house.

Trying this one again. The main issue I’m having right now is that there are nine main characters in this book and I cannot get connected to all of them.
