End of Part 1: I am glad I persevered bc holy shit holy shit holy shit

Chapters 1-3: nearly DNF'd. Goddard's writing is incredibly repetitive. More so, I think, as a way of conveying Tamsin's discombobulation. But it doesn't work. It takes Tamsin 2 whole chapters to wake up.

Chapters 4-5: still repetitive, but actual action & dialogue are happening. Will continue.

I can't imagine a less sexy place than the back of a Trimet bus late at night/after a full day of service.

It's set in Portland????
