the emotions of fiona just went through feels so real real. but at the same time, my jaded ass is also a little grossed out by lizzie's zealous allyship. as a poc who's been in similar situations before, nobody likes to feel like your identity was the catalyst for a big blow up, especially when the situation was escalated by someone else who was speaking for you as if you weren't capable of doing it yourself.

Cute enough so far, but one "Clarke" escaped the search and replace to rename her as Eason. I'll come back to this when I'm in the mood for a Clexa AU. 🙃

I was waiting for the irreverent comedic tone to take a turn... for the flippant mention of indigenous genocide, the exotification of a black bff (adopted by white people, natch), Dana's company being called "Slave Labor"... the straw that broke this camel's back was the explicit equating of anorexics/children/Asians.

I may always associate Lacey Gardner with a mild "ugh" in my mind from now on.

So Dana's supposed to be a quirky character, and also kind of a hot mess, right? Like, searching for love and validation but finding herself prone to clumsy accidents and unfortunate situations? And she has a habit of clenching her teeth in her sleep... and cracked a molar...

I'm uncomfortable with how all of the above literally applies to my life several weeks ago. I'm identifying with this character too much!!

lol i get it traumatic upbringing and all but this main character is gonna have to find someone who can actually deal with her bs or this irritable defensive shtick is gonna get old fast imo
