Feminine Intuition - Maybe it was a sign of the times it was written in, but I think this short reminds people that different perspectives are not detrimental but could be a big help not only in research or study but in everyday life.

With Her Eyes - Unbelievable how masterful this story was. With the helplessness of a situation, how can one face the facts and be content.

Taking Care of God - Definitely a weird one, an arrival of a progenitor race uppends a small family's life, and in turn changes the course of thinking for the human race and recontextualizes its place in the cosmos.

Devourer - A violent story of first contact, and ends in the silence of a new beginning.

The Micro-Era - Another tale with the dilemma of new vs the old. Pretty decent!

Curse 5.0 - The now common fear of artificial intelligence, a world governed by technology has its weakness in itself.

For the Benefit of Mankind - One of the deeper stories in this anthology, looking at the value of money and its purpose in society.

Unfortunately I'm trying but the book is just not grabbing me. DNF

Sun of China - One of the unhindered capabilities of man is to dream, and the protagonist's dream could not be higher. From the mundane to the cosmic, Shui will scour even the stars for his aspirations.

Mountain - Mankind's thirst for progress and to reach the yet unreachable, good story that reminds of a desire that is present in many.

Wandering Earth - The titular story is such a great opener for this anthology. Simple but it really makes you ponder on different things, both inward and outward of ouerselves.

Alfred Bester really has a way with his narrative where you can feel the urgency. Characters also reflect their individuality with their conversations and actions pretty well.

Great start! This Espers guild really has some interesting folk in it, and with Reich in the mix it really makes it intruiging.

An immediate surprise just at the start of our protagonists venturing into the mysterious vessel. I really so admit Crichton is able to make this air of tension and suspense.

Feels like the start of an old sci fi movie which really checks out, excited on where the story unfolds!
