The latest fad or something more?

I have never thought that David Brooks was any kind of role model. But this book has surprised me. Instead of a starry-eyed idealist and do gooder, I am finding thought-provoking philosophy. This has to his best book! I have read few that are more powerful.

NPR recommended. So far, so good.

This book is a modern classic. yet, I have never finished it. Clearly, the fault is mine for being distracted so easiky.

Am reading this as a way of celebrating Veteran's Day.

To ignore luck is to ignore one of life's important realities.

At long last, a book that recognizes the essential element of luck in any success and in life in general. I started this book earlier but was distracted. This time, I will shelve the distractions that always come along and finish this book.

Better than any other self-help book about aging that I have read. What distuingishes this is constant entertainment with good advice mixed in. I am still laughing, and a little sad that thebook is over.

Not the usual brag and boast life history we have come to expect from the self-absorbed people in show business. This book is delightful and fun to read!

I am beginning to see the purpose of genetics and the study of proteins -- personalized medicine.

So far, we are reading about Prevention. A good start!
