started out hilarious but to be honest is actually genuinely devastating?

the us cover for this is atrocious but it's kind of camp. supposedly this is for fans of sky daddy. well i was a fan of sky daddy and i need to read something this brand of weird rn. so i hope i enjoy it!!! i wish i wasn't reading an ebook but whatever

this is just so good..i don't always like the framing device where someone is looking back at their past (the fawn...) but it's just so good here

making progress but i still am not super into it :( he also has, multiple times, said things such as "women are the practical sex," which is far from the worst thing a male author has said of women but does really feel like it's displaying some inherent difference between men and women which i just don't agree with and rubs me the wrong way. idk

despite this being physically humongous in every way it really doesn't feel like that. loving it so far!!!

last book for irish lit and i do not think this professor managed his time well bc he has us reading to pg 100 for class next monday......but wednesday is our last class. soo that is not ideal. going to try to finish it this weekend i guess but i want to keep reaidng the lack of light too

really liking this one so far!!!

this is the second longest book I've ever put into goodreads and either the third or fourth longest book I've ever read so I am quite a bit intimidated......but it's supposed to be very good

for the past 80 pages I have been certain that dr grene is roseanne's kid and the recent confirmations that she has a son she doesn't know and he has Irish heritage are adding up quite well ..... he was born like 10 years before she was institutionalized is the only issue but I'll update when I'm right .

started to get frustrated at the pop culture references that show this adaptation is halfway between a translation and a retelling and while it may be faithful in spirit to the original it clearly is doing its own thing to talk about britain too...found a pdf that seems to just be a regular translation and page ONE there is extra dialogue in this one i'm reading that was totally made up and not in the original. ?
