Fer Prz is starting The Man Behind the Curtain: Inside the Secret Network of George Soros
A few weeks ago I read an article published by NPR about the No King protests, which were nation wide, and how Soros was believed to be involved in the funding of these protests. I searched for recently published books about Soros and here we are. The author is funded by the right, through Dan Bongino. I just like to have the who and why of political pieces before I read them.

It started with violence and ended with violence. The continuous rage and lack of control of the mobocracy(pure democracy and mob mentality) created so much lawlessness and thirst for violence that the French Revolution consumed itself.

The argument away from pure democracy and towards a republic and layered government (three branches) is very solid.

Went to the library at the mall. After a bit of browsing I pulled up to the desk and asked the young lady who worked there to recommend me a YA novel that she was fan a of or was selling well at the shop. Dragon fantasy, it is. My impression after reading the cover pages, Harry Potter lands in Westeros.

The nationalist aspect that Banon believes in, is in line with right wing agendas and lean into conservatism. No wonder he had so much faith and was ardent in the first Trump campaign. What strikes me most is he picks up on fringe ideals that would easily be written into a mastermind supervillain; he follows ideals from Julius Evola and Hindu Yuga cycle. Now I have to read into Brexit and how he influenced.

Whenever I stop at the local library, I am drawn towards the political section. This one was felt right follow the Muller Report. Russian election interference aside, what else is attributed to this perceived upset in 2016?

Funny enough I started my current political reading with Kamala’s 107 days; where she shared her thoughts and feeling during her presidential campaign and defeat to Trump.

The text is dry and repetitive but the information within this report is mind blowing. It’s amazing only Flynn and Papadopoulos were the only ones that got charged.

Whenever I pick up a fiction book I merely research the general climate at the time of publishing and what was the writer trying to convey. The “truth” is always within the pages.

Whereas with non-fiction (specially politics) I have to read many Wikis, articles, data, op-ep. And that’s just to try to understand what is going on. The “truth” is always subjective. But that’s what makes these books fun.

This was a very good chapter. Tom Clancy really knows how to create bad ass antagonists.

I grew up binging on this movie on VHS in my formative years. It’s hard not thinking about the scenes in the movie. I hated Ian Michael as a kid. He was too cynical and a party pooper. Turns out he was just using math and logic.

Jeff Goldblum is an amazing actor and I have more appreciation for him now.

The cater their message filter the elite investors. They also believe in a lot of outlandish and fringe beliefs such as human selective breeding for IQ.

First half of chapter 6 is devoted to the Pioneer Fund. It finances right wing ideologies and race science, rumors that Peter Thiel is a whale that donates to this and other groups in the U.S. and UK.

So far this book offers insight into the motivations, aspirations, and investors. There’s a significant amount of manipulation tactics.

So far a good introspective analysis of a journalist with a career and aspirations that were the total opposite of his private life. A right wing mouthpiece willing to spew hate and disinformation. Meanwhile hiding and repressing his private life since the right wing was opposed to his lifestyle.

Hopefully his eventual transition to the left is also open to the bias of his work, regardless is political party.

Went to the local bookshop and picked up a few books. Bought it just on the strength of the provocative title.

Based on the content on his Wikipedia page, David Brock seemed to be a very vocal propagandist for the right and then had an abrupt shift to the left. He is also very appreciative of fundings for his book publication. But that won’t stop me from reading his book.

Very interesting, plausible, scary.

I picked up this book to contrast my current knowledge of the Korean War.

From what is gathered in the introduction, China’s warfare tactics were thought to have been derived from the principles laid out on Sun Tzu’s art of war. Avoidance of conflict and defensive tactics using terrain. The west brought a face to face confrontation and rapid resolution of military conflicts by main force.

A few chapters in and I found this quote from Lenin quite profound.

Lenin's best-known remark in the Philosophical Notebooks was on the relation of Hegel to Capital:
“It is impossible completely to understand Marx's Capital and especially its first chapter, without having thoroughly studied and understood the whole of Hegel's Logic. Consequently, half a century later none of the Marxists understood Marx!!"
