That long Adam chapter was so boring. Save me, Mercy Thompson.

This is hitting the spot so perfectly right now.

I was feeling iffy about the first few pages into this as I didn’t care much for Conway’s character voice but the mystery has pulled me in. Can’t believe this is the final book in the series and that it took me 10+ years to reach it after originally buying the first book in a university bookshop on a field trip in 8th grade.

Only 34% in and I’m already tearing up. She hasn’t even been there for a full day.

Dostoyevsky is on another level of villainy.

I find it difficult to be disgusted at most of the things occurring in this book as someone who is aware of what slaveowners was doing to enslaved people.

I know I’m in a reading slump when I find myself rereading. I have no idea why the first three books of this series and the Boxcar Children are my go-to rereads lol

Having such a blast with this sequel!

If my mama named me Tilbert, I wouldn’t call her for advice either.

Enjoying this more in the last two thirds. The connection of these two men who don’t speak the same language. One of them so lonely that he falls in love with a stranger in a photo.

That was more action packed than all the books put together so far.
