The big problem I’m having with this story is the pacing. There are enormous jumps of time which aren’t really reflected in the characters - it all gets waved away with “rejuvenation medicine”. The result is that the characters don’t grow or age in my reading imagination.

I get that this story is trying to cover a huge arc of time, but the jumps make it feel like a lot of small stories strung together.

The first two books were really good, I seem to have stalled on the third book since it feels like a repetition of the second book and the story isn't keeping my attention.

I've pretty much stalled reading this one. The first two books were well paced, and decent storytelling. This one just kept kicking me out of the story.
