I didn't expect this to be worth reading, given its rating on goodreads, but I'm hooked.

Quite good so far, still feel like I'm a bit lost at times but all-in-all a nice reading experience.

Just started reading this morning, so far ok. But I find it very difficult to keep track of the characters who are addressed by different names all the time or by some personal traits. (Perhaps it would be easier if I knew a bit more of American history).

I'm getting close to the end game. There's mostly gunporn, some technobabble, a bit of bloddsucking, but story-wise? meh, I don't really care what happens to any of the characters... except maybe Blossom. Blossom is cool.

This book book is awfully dull. The story feels like a poor excuse to elaborate on Mario Acevedo's take on the vampire genre. It is crammed with "gunporn" and tiresome details about the main character's every meal. The story feels forced at best, except for a few chapters in the middle (the aliens were fun), but the book does not hold up as a whole. I will finish it but I have low expectations for the ending.
