This book book is awfully dull. The story feels like a poor excuse to elaborate on Mario Acevedo's take on the vampire genre. It is crammed with "gunporn" and tiresome details about the main character's every meal. The story feels forced at best, except for a few chapters in the middle (the aliens were fun), but the book does not hold up as a whole. I will finish it but I have low expectations for the ending.

I'm getting close to the end game. There's mostly gunporn, some technobabble, a bit of bloddsucking, but story-wise? meh, I don't really care what happens to any of the characters... except maybe Blossom. Blossom is cool.
