I didn't expect to enjoy it this much...

If early on you know this book is no more than 3 stars, do you continue? I guess 3 stars is not bad.
But this book is way better than whatever rating I will give it based on my enjoyment factor alone.

I thought it would take me a lot longer to get into... I actually enjoy it so far!

I enjoy a forbidden romance. I can appreciate an age gap scenario. But... let's keep everyone's age above legal? And let's not add the cute moments when one of them was a kid. It's cute, yes. But we all know where this is going...
There is a difference between 'questionable but at the end of the day we're both adults' scenario and 'I used to babysit you and you're about to finish high school'.

The best way to describe it for me is deliberate. I feel like the threads are being hammered instead of weaved.
I want to write it now cause historically there is a big chance I will be blown away by the ending and forget that at this point the book is just okay.

I didn't know what to think until now. And now, I reserve a right to change what I think. Which makes for compelling thriller-mystery.

It is just a solid adventure fantasy.

Also while we're at it: should 'demonic nature' be a way to explain a character being bi? I mean, I am not a lust demon and yet...
This was the 2nd time I felt slightly offended by the way topic was approached.

In 40% of this book there is no female characters other than the main one. Since a few pages ago there was a one line interaction with a fellow female student, I assume we are in the universe where females exist and can talk so here goes that theory....

14h into 45h audiobook. Not going to lie, for the first 10 it was hard to catch up. But it picked up.
It can go so many ways...

I am disappointed from the very beginning. I keep listening cause I can see how the story would be interesting if told slightly differently. I just don't vibe with the narration style. It is weird cause I usually like calm, emotionless delivery.

It turned dark...

Strangely... sexual...? Didn't expect it. And weird, so weird...
