Literally begging this book to not fuck up in the back half it! Is! So! Good! BANGERS ONLY!!! Do not let me down!!!!

I feel like that cartoon of the Sicko outside the window going “HAHA yes….yes!”

anyway I am very fond of the autistic knight errant, the evil saint wife, the misunderstood yet still evil princess, and the evil castrated teen assassin

Mind numbing. Almost meditative. It’s not boring per se, it just doesn’t matter at all.

book that is a competition between women refusing to eat

The cringe from morell’s stupid diy uniform is almost overpowering

Unfortunately barzini has poisoned me against this man

Bj Ballantine I hate you soooo much. Normally I love the perfect woman maligned genre but genuinely what has magnolia done to deserve this! being a bit full of yourself is not a crime worthy of being punished by being shackled to a bitter loser cokehead….if they end up together I am going to scream

Can’t stop thinking about Richard as mixed race but white passing and what that does to his dynamics with everyone particularly bunny….Macdonald Corcoran with the “where’s your tan, son?” Making Richard feel sick….HMMM!

annual reread is kind of shameful to admit to. But too much time away from Richard Papen’s batshit narration does harm to a soul

audiobook is phenomenal. horrified to learn how Gurgei’s name is actually spelt and will continue to use this butchered version for now. Am I enjoying this so much I’m going to take a night class in strategy games?? Maybe so!

bj is sooooooo boring to me. I am coping with this novel by choosing to believe that magnolia’s endless listing of designers is a signal that she is neurodivergent and this is her special interest. I wanted to like this so badly…..

uh oh spoke too soon it is DRAGGING!!! the cousin is definitely in love with the traitor prince tho right

okay Rachel Gillig is really good actually I fear

Excellent narrator for the audiobook

“mendacious” god bless

THE NAMES IN THIS BOOK ARE SO STUPID BUT IT ALMOST MAKES ME LOVE IT MORE what you MEAN you are telling me this tragic tale and the characters evoking these emotions in me are called *checks notes* “Benjie” and “Roderick [surname so silly I have forgotten it entirely]”

This is SO good, great audiobook too

Shudder factor extremely high

Melanie Griffiths should have been allowed to kill every man on set x

STOP TELLING ME ABOUT TOM HANKS EATING PEANUTS

Quincy Morris you are everything to me

strange how lucy remains doomed and yet every time I am like HOW could this be happening AGAIN

nooo don’t reread dracula again you’re so sexy aha

!!!

Ughhhhh it’s only 169 pages but this book is not thrilling me. I love Wodehouse but this parody adds very little? It’s not doing anything interesting - it’s more like a “haha remember Wodehouse”. Anyway it is also the most 2009 book ever written if that makes sense.

Fenella you are so dumb I love you so

Is it possible? Has AC managed to beat her pacing issues?? Only this last thirty percent will tell
