I am into it so far.

I’m gonna DNF this. I am not feeling the writing style at all, it’s also kind of boring me 😬

Oooooo I am intrigued. Very intrigued.

I am very pleasantly surprised by this. Mayhaps my first King 5 star is underway.

I am still very much enjoying this.

Let’s see how this is! So far so good. It’s really charming.

I can already tell this is going to make me cry eventually…

I am liking this. The villain is pretty intriguing I gotta say...

I am really enjoying this. It’s really funny.

The case that got me into true crime. I've always wanted to read a book on Elizabeth Short but never got around to it. So far I am enjoying this it really seems to go in-depth.

“It was not laziness if he was a rich man. Only the poor were lazy. Just as only the poor were ignorant. A rich man who didn’t know anything was spoiled or independent.”

I am enjoying this one

“It would be absurd if we did not understand both angels and devils, since we invented them.”

“It’s better to be guilty and rich than innocent and poor.”

I am intrigued so far still…

I gotta say it… I officially HATE Peter Van Laar the third (or whatever damn number he is). He’s absolutely insufferable.

Ok I am intrigued…

We’ll see.

“Las palabras con que se envenena el corazón de un hijo, por mezquindad o por ignorancia, se quedan enquistadas en la memoria y tarde o temprano le queman el alma.”

Disfrutándolo mucho. Ese tipo quemado me da miedo Dios mío cada vez que sale!

Me encuentro muy intrigada.

“Una de las trampas de la infancia es que no hace falta comprender algo para sentirlo. Para cuando la razón es capaz de entender lo sucedido, las heridas en el corazón ya son demasiado profundas.”

This isn’t terrible but idk how I fully feel about it yet.

This is so wholesome I love it. Could be a Ghibli movie tbh.

Slow start but it seems to be heading somewhere now so we’ll see…

“And regret is a very poisonous emotion, it warps and distorts every aspect of a man’s life until there’s nothing left but bitterness and despair. Don’t let them make you bitter.”

I did not expect to fricken CRY reading this what the hell 😭
