This has been an enthralling journey for our detectives from the first chapter.

Just stopped on what I would believe is a great cliff hanger pausing point. There has been a very important fact of the case revealed along with some…unexpected. Discovered the specific genre for this book series. I would have been pleased any way.

There have been some annoyances when reading this far, the first being this authors obvious use of a thesaurus in the most in opportune times.

I’m on a kick again - trying to catch up to the latest book from Will Thomas. Lethal Pursuit has livened considerably in events, (that of course I will not spoil). Will Thomas has done a marvelous job having me suspect some of the most unlikely.

**Spoilers**
So far, we’ve learned that a spy has been murdered for possessing a manuscript relating to religion. My premise is that several countries are trying to get their hands on this “package” so that they can claim more power.

We also learned that Forbes has consumption and wants to pass on the leadership role of the masons into Barker - wanting barker to give the enquiry business to Thomas.

Interesting start to this book. It probably doesn’t help that along with the delivery of a decent BL M/M romance novel i’ve been promised, there is already an introductory of a character whom deciphers old text and cryptography for a living…
So far so good.

Does anyone have suggestions for paranormal mystery books with a male lead? Looking for something out of the norm.

Erin Ren Ramirez is 34% done with The Mummy (Ramses the Damned #1)
Unless your into Egypt and mummies and the air of it- it will take you a little to get through the beginning of the book. Wasn’t a problem for me. I’ve always found ancient discoveries and the like fascinating. Once you get past that- it quickly begins to turn into what seems like a paranormal romance. I’m not usually a fan of romance unless it has a lot of danger or action. Going to keep reading!

Erin Ren Ramirez is on page 54 of 288 of The Girl with the Red Balloon (The Balloonmakers, #1)
The very beginning of this book reads very much like a teen fiction, however the fact of it being a historical fiction drew me on. Hooked after chapter 1 and will continue to read.
