I thought I was a dumb kid back in the day for not finishing this but I’m halfway through this now and nothing has happened

not the mainland european xenophobia

why am i doing this

I feel like I’m not at a point in my life where I am cultured or experienced enough to enjoy or dedicate the amount of energy needed to understand this book so I deeply sympathise with people who were made to read this in high school. The racism doesn’t help as it adds to a list of reasons for me to stop reading
