Okay this is a last ditch effort I hate that I haven’t finished this yet. I think this is a classical issue of this actually being a very good book but that it just isn’t for me (at least not right now)

The story is kind of gripping me this time around so whenever they say something insane and horny I get so shocked lmao I keep forgetting it’s not just a fantasy

Starting to think this did not have an editor?? There’s so many random mistakes that are so easily fixed left in the text (and I also feel like the translations aren’t always that good but because I don’t understand Arabic I can’t see if they at least reflect what the poets are trying to say)
