I like a good gender interesting story. I enjoy having my assumptions challenged. Raksura did it with subtlety. Murderbot with a little more overtness. Witch King? Anvil hammer. If I hear/read one more reference to a veil or skirt as worn by a male, I may scream. We get it! This is approaching Robert Jordan level of obsession with clothing

Dunkirk? Dunkirk? I think you are mixing your wars up here. And its not the only gaff. Are your characters both ghosts and from the future?

I love the premise and characters so far... but come on! The main mystery is so glaringly obvious. So I'm writing it here and I know I'll be right:

Little illegitimate maid knocks off legitimate half-sister, and replaces her and steals her fortune.

Uhm... biased much? Sheesh. I enjoyed the Egypt chapters but the Levant. Some serious bias there

I cannot tell you how much this story is irritating me, and at the same time, fascinating me. The author clearly has no real understanding of how a naval command works, and suffers from the Star Trek malady of the story revolving around a core group of officers who clearly should not be as invovled as they are.

To detail or not to detail, that is the conumdrum.

Why are we spending so much time with Nyaneve? I feel very much like this book should be called - Nyaneve's braid. Also - does Robert Jordan actually like women?

Ketchup? Really Miss Rosett, really? A Dowager Countess would not use the word 'ketchup' to describe anything let alone tomato sauce.

If you narrator Wanda McCadoon can't do a South African accent, then its better if she doesn't try at all. The SA copper sounded like he was from India, not Africa. I rolled about laughing for hours. I mean, come on, even you lot surely heard that and though... nah, that's not right. Come on!

Also, Carola Dunn - only Americans refer to the study or lounge as a den. Not Anglican vicars

I don't think I can bear all the singing and the level of twee.

My giddy Aunt but Tolkien uses a lot of the same sounding names. This book really is just a vehicle for him to show off his elvish.

Movie? What movie? This is brilliant. I just love the late 90s and early 2000s pop culture references. Why was Patrick Stewart not cast as Prince Renaldo? Book is always better!

Is the spelling mistake in the title for real? Or just... Jacques-weirdness. And also, Brian, Brian... why is there so much singing in your later books? Why?

Erm? This is not Barrie's book. You said it's written by JM Barrie. He didn't write this? Why are children in audio dramas so exposition heavy about stuff they know?
