Interesting how this next person is taken out. I’m surprised there wasn’t more investigation for handwriting, like they all just took one another at their words? It seems like a bit of a hole to me?

Interesting characters so far! I love the dynamic between Peter and Lauren so far!

Ok. We finally get to the title. I understand her power, but I’m not sure I like it.

Also don’t love how we paused the story to walk the reader through all the hints laid down through the story. I’m not a child who needs to be held by the hand. If you had told me that she thought back about what had happened, dots could have been connected on my own.

Gonna be honest, I really like this, but I do find it just a tad hard to keep track of the characters…

It’s not enough for me to stop reading, but it is hindering how fast I’m getting through this story.

Ok. So Fluffy Jr. is the companion. There’s gonna be more to this… at some point, right?

Seriously! Every fucking laugh is MANIC, bubbling forth.

I swear Alexis has no other awkward responses, just “manic laughter”. Ugh.

I’m starting to hate how much laughter from Alexis is described as “manic”. That’s the only descriptor.
It sticks out so bad as a crutch phrase.


good news is Alexis finally figured out her power, potentially.

I’m starting to wonder if the music playing inside her head is part of her power somehow. Otherwise it’s the weirdest damn character trait I’ve seen in a while.


I also am high-key headcanoning Alexis as having ADHD. The zone outs, heck even the music playing CONSTANTLY in her head.

Interesting progression from a person in the street to god-child.

FINALLY we get to the point. The real point.

You can’t teach people to be queer. They just are, and that presents in just as many ways as straight people present. Gender, sexuality, it’s all so fluid that there isn’t and shouldn’t be “one real way” to be queer. And that’s GOOD actually.

I didn’t think the book would get here until way closer to the last chapter. A nice surprise!

Slow progression, but good progression in the plot.
