Why is everyone in support of the legalization of gay marriage? Not that it’s a bad thing, but as a native Marylander I can tell you that when my mom heard the news, she told me that homosexuality was bad (despite the fact that I was in fourth grade and had no idea guys could like guys and girls could like girls). It would be more realistic if there was someone who was against this. C’mon.

Wait a hot second- same-sex marriage was legalized in June of 2015, Hamilton opened for its first premiere in July of 2015. So if this took place in June 2015, they wouldn’t be making Hamilton references, right? Did Becky Albertalli decide to throw in this legalization on a different timeline? Was this accidental? Am I the only one who noticed this? Am I crazy? This book is cute but the references are cringey. Thanks

they seriously covered up the words “lover’s moans”??? This play already mentions virginity, I don’t understand why they covered up something that only references something sexual and doesn’t go further than that

lowkey pissed off right now, because I'm reading this for school and my teacher has ripped out and covered up some pages because they mention rape. Like, why is this a unit if you don't want us to read some notes or dialogue in the play? I hate how they're covering up/hiding an extremely important problem in today's modern world
