I did not expect to be so heavily engaged by her argument. I have issues with some of her assumptions/propositions, but I will save those for another time. For now all I can say is her idea of gender as performance is far less radical to me than her perspective on individualism and the body. I will be reading her Giving an account of oneself next.

Kaleidoscopic. Generally speaking, I really enjoy Tuan's books and his overall project. I know it's a geography book, but this is all over the map (pun intended). High hopes for the conclusion. Hope he ties it all together in a beautiful knot.
