Starts off slow, then bit OP, but gets into a… balance of sorts (chaotic neutral) soon, with amazing developments handing the doorknob to each other.

Definitely no easy read, needs re-reading often. Rather useful, and I love how he deconstructs some counter-arguments I’ve heart in this millennium with both ease and joy. The conclusion style — where present, see the other reviews — is similarly lighthearted. Downside is my lacking knowledge of english and french pronunciation for some parts.

This is drawn out like overpowered molasses.

What even is this?! Self-categorising as “USA wank”, and then:

Punctuation within quotes is meant to be lyrical rather than grammatical; e.g. a “,” is a pause that marks the end of a spoken phrase, a “–” is a longer pause in someone's thinking or an interruption of someone's phrase, and a “...” is the unintended, and usually confused, end of someone's sentence.

Lots of telling, no showing, atrocious spelling.

ugh, A/N says second of her trilogy will be romance… but third will be better, so I have to wade through that, in a not-easy-to-follow plot from an author taking a bite too large for her skills…

No explanation of the term used. In a fic playing in a british universe. Sod this.

This is… certainly different from canon.

(Also, if victorian flower language is even a thing, Parkinson or whoever sat in the same class and also knew it could have told. Okay, Parkinson probably didn’t deign to have lessons in V.f.l…)
