An interesting, inter-disciplinary perspective on what makes us human and what that means for life in the virtual world...

...a wonderful translation and rearrangement...

Reading of this wonderful collection recently resumed... :)

Period V - 17thC & 18thC - A crucial period, elements of embellishment and romanticisation emerging...with significant changes in the arts (poetry & music), too.

Period IV - 16thC & Early 17thC - "It is difficult to summarise the tangled and often lurid history of the Highlands during this period..."

Period III c1300-c1500: “Published in 1305, the Lilium Medicinae was very soon afterwards translated into Gaelic...” One copy, “...belonging to the Beaton family in Skye...was so valuable that when the doctor crossed an arm of the sea the book was sent round by land.”

The interweaving of various cultural strands is what stood out in 'Period II'.

Enjoyed the first chapter/period very much.
