I’m actually liking the boss a lot more than I like the hero..

Lots of quantum theory tech jargon... and also judgey-ness. Lots of Judgey-ness. Not to mention I'm getting more vibes between the Heroine and her Boss than the heroine and the angel.

Interesting world building. I like that it has characters of color. There’s definitely some iffy consent. Also some typos.

I’m in the mood for some old-school problematic romance. Because that’s what this is. I mean let’s not even get into the xenophobic and racist depictions of people of North African and Middle Eastern descent. But sometimes you want some nostalgia glasses.

As a note, A very good chunk of the beginning of this book focuses on the mother of the heroine and not the heroine herself.

I’m definitely here for the a plot. I do believe the connection between the main characters. And I’m hopeful about this book. I really want it to be good since it features a disabled hero and a neuro divergent heroine.

I think one of my goals for the rest of this year is to get my read pile higher than my TBR pile. LOL.

There’s some confusing Termanology and non-universal stuff in here. It’s so far got some Okay points and would be good for a newbie but it’s not something that I would want to hand to someone who is completely new either.

Okay… not as good as some of the other books… There’s a lot of similarity to couple of the other books and maybe it’s because I’m reading these all in short succession but I’ll eat my hat if Gordon doesn’t end up the surprise heir to his families Fortune.

I’m not sure how I feel about this book it’s very harlequin meets joker but more like Natural born killers but for fae

I’m not loving this… I’m trying really hard to my finger on why and I think it just comes down to the hero is too over the top cartoon villain OK as a tragically dark backstory (tm) And I’m really really really over the whiskey eyes as a descriptor

Sorta useful… It doesn’t explain things terribly well at least so far. Everything is a lot more specific than generic.

Yep still pure Small. I like the world.

So far this is pure Bertrice small. Full of weirdness, sensuality, and Finley veiled racial caricatures. It also appears to be stereo typical small with the heroine having multiple lovers.

I’m not really feeling this book. It feels very generic and bland.

The heroine is Not Like Other Girls and is too good to need to wear makeup to look pretty.
