Much more structured than Burbea’s Jhana mastery series, and focused on single pointed attention, this seems to be a pretty fool proof method given you’re willing to put in significant time into it. Burbea’s playful approach to body energy awareness is an easier entry to lighter forms of the jhana factors, but nothing beats sustained focus for a big phase shift into a full jhana.

Nice so far: A fun historical style frame narrative that reminds me of either Borges or Umberto Ecco, with some fun fantasy that reminds me of childhood dreams like Indian in the Cupboard, and a growing world with a curious social order that I’m looking forward to learning more about.

Daniel Finlay is 20% done with Bullshit Jobs: A Theory
I’ve got a strong recurring theme so far, I expect it to be mostly reinforced. Bullshit jobs are a symptom of dramatically uneven distribution of wealth. If you have billions of dollars, protecting even a percent of your net worth can be a small economy. If we want to eliminate bullshit jobs, we need wealth more evenly distributed.
