Brooke Johnson > Recent Status Updates

So apparently I've read this book before (about 4 years ago) and didn't care much for it then, judging by the 3 star rating. But man, I keep catching my mind wandering while reading this. I've highlighted a few things, but wow, most of this book is really boring.

I've been excited for this book for ages and I pre-ordered it as soon as I could, but I had no idea it was in verse. I know it has good reviews, but I've never been much into verse, so I'm going into this with a bit of reluctance and dubious expectations.

is *everyone* going to offer themselves up as sacrifice to save the others? 🙄

ok I really really want to like this book but the gooey heart-eyes description of Pete makes me die a little bit inside

The first few chapters are a total mess. I'm hoping it improves now that things have settled down narrative-wise. :\
