Why does looks excuse everything? This is just 1 book out of a billion, but cmon. I get it when it's a case of "this is all red flags and evilness and is clearly fiction", I'm not always a big fan but I get it. But when you try to portray a relationship as actually possible and healthy irl... Then it shouldn't feel like something that could be a Ted Bundy/Jonestown/Josef Fritzl/etc case.
