definitely an young adult book. there's not wrong about that but the fact there are deaths and sex doesn't mean the writing is for adults.
she left a enemy alive when she could have ended him. she chose to protect a secret from her mother's son enemy and is instantaneously attracted to him.
she is comparing the way him and her childhood friend acts towards her problems instead of defending herself.
